Terrain Washing
Purpose
Terrain washing is used to add depth and realism to terrain pieces by highlighting textures and creating shadows. This technique involves applying a thinned-down paint (wash) to the surface, which flows into the recesses and crevices, creating a shaded effect that enhances the details of the terrain.
